Late on Wednesday the 30th, 2002 F-Secure's Backweb information service resent dozens of old virus alerts to F-Secure Anti-Virus users. These alerts are visible to end users as flash popups on desktop and are also visible in the F-Secure Infocenter.
Although these alerts are dated for October 2002, they really are from last two years and include warnings on viruses such as Onthefly, Melissa, Sircam, CIH, Badtrans, Magistr and Nimda. These warnings can be safely ignored.
F-Secure Anti-Virus detects all viruses listed in these old alerts.
This was caused because archived messages were
inadvertently distributed again.
