Clearswift SECURE ICAP Gateway Integration with F5 BIG-LTM

A commonplace scenario includes a web proxy (forward or reverse) that connects through the ICAP protocol to an ICAP server in order to inspect web traffic for malicious content, confidential information leaving the organization or URL filtering to name just a few.

ICAP stands for Internet Content Adaption Protocol and it is a protocol aimed at providing inspection for web content. An ICAP client routes HTTP content to an ICAP server in order to process it or adapt the content. The adapted content is then returned to the ICAP client in the form of an HTTP response or an HTTP request.

Clearswift SECURE ICAP Gateway helps organizations to further enhance their current web infrastructure by applying deep content inspection, adaptive redaction and data loss prevention technologies. Since Clearswift SECURE ICAP Gateway uses the ICAP interface, it can be deployed next to all ICAP-enabled network devices like firewalls, web proxies, load balancers etc.
